We’re Back!
Sorry for the long delay between posts – summer was busy and I guess we just needed a while to recoup.
Everyone has been asking for them and here they are – the pictures from our Halloween Story-time. All the kids looked great in their costumes! I know they had a good time trick or treating throughout City Hall and over at the police station. The staff really enjoyed handing out the goodies and seeing all the kids. It was a fun day!
Enjoy the pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hewittlibrary/
More Summer Fun!
On July 18th we had another fun summer program show. Ms. Maria came and delighted the crowd with her fun songs that taught us some Spanish. Most of the crowd was able to participate in the show and all ages had a great time! Take a look at some pictures from the show. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hewittlibrary/
A wild time was had by all at the Library
I am sorry I have been missing in action for the last couple weeks – I was sick in bed with a summer virus – no fun! I am a little behind on posting our photos from the summer program – I promise to get them all up as soon as possible.
On July 11th the Cameron Park Zoo brought some creatures for us to learn about. Everyone had a great time and had an opportunity to touch some animals and see them up close after the show. We always have fun when the zoo visits the library. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hewittlibrary/
Tract the Clown thrills library crowd
On June 27th, Tract the Clown came to the Hewitt Community Center to entertain our huge crowd – a little bigger group than was expected! There was some confusion on our part as to how the show was to be done and so we would like to thank David Gish (a.k.a Tract the Clown) for staying late and making balloon figures until his fingers had to be cramping and also thank our audience for being so patient. Everyone ended up having a great time! Take a look http://www.flickr.com/photos/hewittlibrary/
Snakes, and spiders, and roaches – Oh my!

Everyone enjoyed a good gross-out on June 20th when The Bug Man, Jim Klinger, brought a van full of creatures to share with the huge crowd gathered at the Hewitt Community Center. As always, his show was informative and fun. Take a look at some of the pictures we took that day - http://www.flickr.com/photos/hewittlibrary/
Don’t forget that the library will be closed tomorrow so![]()
